Jumping on the Social Media Band Wagon

So many people have begun joining in on the social media band wagon. Millions of people are connected each day through these websites. Social media is the new way of sharing information with people. With social media websites people can stay connected and in touch all over the world. With social media websites you can share pictures, thoughts, personal information, and just about anything else. Becoming hooked on social media websites is easy to do. Even my aunt and uncle have a Facebook account and they are technologically challenged. If you have not heard of social media websites such as Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter then you must be living under a rock.

Indeed, social media has become an innovative way to communicate with one another, I do believe that this is just the beginning of a totally new era. In just recent years, there has been an increase of new ways of communicating, who knows what the future awaits and what new tactics we will use to enhance our communication skills.

I think one of the more innovative ways social media is being used is how it brings in communities of people to achieve certain goals. Like artists/musicians and business people. Overall I think your quite right in the new era we are entering.

I love social media sites! In college it is great to keep in contact with friends and see pictures and send invitations to parties... But I learned of a social media site for business people. Linkedin.com is similar to facebook but it is used in the business world. You can post your work experience, and seriously network for a desired work position. Technology is amazing!

I like the idea of social media, but what makes me catious is that anyone has access to our shared information that we have put out there for our peers, rather than employers and what not. It seems as if there will always be a good and a bad to everything and anything.

At least most networking websites offer some kind of privacy filter. Still, it doesn't stop your friends with public sites to post pictures of YOU.

It is great that sites like Facebook are becoming accessible to all age groups, though. It's not just for students anymore.
